The 2026 Florida Python Challenge™ will take place from July 10, 2026, through July 19, 2026. Registration is now open!
The Florida Everglades is an extraordinary ecosystem unlike any other in the world! It is home to a variety of rare and unique wildlife including a diversity of native birds, mammals, fish and reptiles.
However, nonnative reptiles, like the invasive Burmese python, pose a significant threat to native wildlife and don't belong here. The Florida Python Challenge™ is an exciting conservation effort intended to raise awareness about invasive species while helping to protect the unique ecosystems of the Everglades and the wildlife that live there from these invasive snakes.
The python removal competition begins at 12:01 a.m. on July 10, 2026 and ends at 5 p.m. on July 19, 2026. Register now!
