About Burmese Pythons

The Burmese python is a large, nonvenomous constrictor snake that is not native to Florida. These snakes represent a threat to the Everglades ecosystem and the native wildlife that live there, including wading birds, small mammals and other reptiles. Learn more about Burmese pythons.
